There's no central registry of Australian wedding venues — just hundreds of properties scattered across eight states and territories, from Tasmanian vineyard estates to heritage-listed estates in Queensland. This is the list we wished existed.

This list focuses on wedding-first, exclusive-hire, estate and farm-style venues whose public positioning centres on weddings. A few also host retreats, private stays or have restaurants and wineries attached — but we've tried to highlight properties with weddings at their core.

Where possible, we've noted venues with an established reputation. Properties without an established review presence have not been considered.
