Autumn arrives slowly at Gabbinbar. The mornings cool first, then the evenings, while the days stay warm and full of light — temperatures sitting comfortably between 12 and 26°C through the season. Misty mornings give way to clear, beautiful days. The afternoon light turns rich and low. By evening, there's a cool breeze that makes the whole estate feel like it has exhaled.
The gardens don't lose their colour in autumn — they deepen it. The Tibouchina tree bursts into brilliant purple. Near the homestead, the Japanese Maples turn red and amber, slowly and then all at once. Leaves begin to fall. The grounds hold a warmth that has nothing to do with temperature.
